
Ms Mech Samphors
Deputy Head of Philosophy Department, Royal University of Phnom Penh
Ms Mech Samphors is currently a Ph.D student in Khmer Studies Program at Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at RUPP. She is being awarded Ph.D. Research Fellowship by Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) for her research project in 2021. She is also a member of Philosophy Committee in National Council of Khmer Language at Royal Academy. Within her contribution for more than ten years in Philosophy Department at RUPP, she was promoted to be Deputy-Head of Philosophy Department in 2017. She is in charge for Quality Assurance and International Relations. She was one of the core founders in establishing graduate program (M.A) in Philosophy in 2015 and has been serving as Assistant Program since 2016. With academic background in Philosophy, she graduated her master degree from a unique program in Cultural Studies at Buddhist Institute, joined by RUPP and Center for Advance Studies (CAS) in 2005 under the support from Open Society Institute (OSI). Her main interest and expertize in teaching and research on educational philosophy, ethics, Buddhist studies, gender studies and related to issues on education.
